Using this site

Scale Owners provides marketing services for brands, and offers a free site scanner and a free course. By using this site you accept what's on this page. If you don't, please don't use it.

The scanner is a drafting aid

The scanner looks for language and setup that have caused advertising rejections in restricted categories. It is a helpful second pair of eyes, not an authority. A clean result is not a promise that your ads will be approved, and a flagged result is not a statement that you have broken any rule. Advertising platforms make their own decisions, publish their own policies, and change both without notice. Their policy is what counts.

Don't run the scanner on sites you have no relationship with, and don't use it to try to reach anything private.

The free course

The course is our opinion and experience, offered free. It isn't legal, medical, financial or regulatory advice. What you're allowed to sell and advertise, and how, is yours to verify with your own advisors and against the rules that apply to you.

You're welcome to read it, keep it and share it. Please don't sell it or pass it off as your own.

What we don't promise

Nothing on this site is a promise of approval, reinstatement, revenue or any other result. We describe what has worked for us. Your business, your products and your market are different from ours.

Applying

Sending an application isn't a contract and doesn't oblige either of us to anything. We read every one and reply. If we work together, a separate written agreement sets out the scope, the price and the terms, and that agreement takes priority over this page.

Our material

The text, design, tools and course on this site belong to us. You can quote us with credit. You can't copy the site or the scanner and present it as your own.

Fair use of the tools

The scanner is free and rate-limited so it stays fast for everyone. Please don't automate it, hammer it, or try to break it. We may block anyone who does.

Liability

We provide this site and its free tools as-is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from your use of them — including advertising decisions made by third-party platforms. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
